Evening all

Not been on here in a while and have only just got round to taking down the old water damaged ceiling.

Previous ceiling had cork tiles applied to it so I now have a 27mm gap from the bottom of the joists to the top of the wall tiles

Was thinking of fixing 15mm lathes to the joists and then boarding to those unless anyone has any other suggestions?

Oh and the room gets very wet from shower steam so I was thinking that moisture resistant PB might be a good idea?

TIA

The 15mm joist packers sounds fine.
Once the ceiling is skimmed & decorated, the surface should be impervious to steam etc.
Just wonder though, have you considered fitting an extraction fan?
