 Post subject: Renault key fob.

Number 2 son has a Renault Clio 56 plate and his key fob is knackered, the small switch has a dry joints on the very, very small PCB. A new fob cost £180!! Anybody got any ideas.

I can't solder the micro switch as my soldering iron is just too big.

Try the Renault forum dickie,plenty free genuine advice on there!
I had a Citroen van that needed new fob,local key shop cut a new one and I taped the transponder under the steering wheel,saved me a good few quid!
You could also try fleabay?

I got my replacement Peugeot one from eBay and then Tompsons cut the key
