Hi guys and gals.

I'm doing some painting for someone who has stripped the paper in a room before xmas. They now want it painted and I guess the residue from the paste will still be on the walls. What would be the best way to go about prepping the walls ready for emulsion?

Thanks, Mike.

Wash the walls with a solution of warm water and sugar soap, sand, fill and coat with Zinsser Gardz. If the walls are a bit knackered you might also want to consider applying a lining paper to even things out. (in which case, just apply size and not Gardz before papering)
