What is the easiest way to remove old wallpaper? i removed the wall border, i used a wet rag and a spatula to scrap the adhesive off, but one spot on the wall they didnt have enough wallpaper to cover the wall. so now i have ugly wallpaper and one spot that is white where the wall was painted. someone said to use steam. where do i get a steam machine or what is another method? my husband is off this weekend so i have a helper LOL I need help I am kind of clueless!! i have checked other spots and i believe the whole wall is painted white underneath.

Probably says it but please be careful when using steamers on ceilings above your head,
Stripping is not so hard once you realise you cannot go at it like a bull at a gate, take your time, let the steamer do the work, you do not save any time gouging the walls with your scraper, if fact the job takes longer having to fill the marks later

It's a simple process but there is one piece of advice I can give you. Put the radio on before you start scraping, it's a crap job and it takes bloody ages.

Be careful if you use a steamer. I used one, and it blew plaster on a number of walls. I chatted with a builder, and he said they do that. And no I didn't hold it against the wall for more than a few seconds. Also it generated so much steam, that coving fell down. I'm not a fan of steamers.
And as WPM says, go easy with the scraping, it's not worth gouging the walls. But, if you do gouge the walls, scrape some Easi-fill over the gouged areas, just enough to fill the indents and no more, using a wide blade spatula. Ah, but do that AFTER you wash the walls to remove excess wall paper paste. If you leave paste, it can stuff subsequent paint.
