Hi

We're fitting a new slate hearth to an open fire (which won't be used but we want to future-proof things). The floor will be a vinyl (Amtico).

I recall reading somewhere ages back that Building Regs require the hearth to be a certain amount of mm above the finished floor level but am not having any luck finding this info again.

Can anyone shed any light on the height?

Many thanks in advance.

DB
