This was a project at my own home the tail end of last summer. I got given an old shed from my neighbour and I needed a small workshop but also wanted somewhere to sit in that part of my garden so I added a verandah to it also.

This is how it arrived:

I placed it in the corner of a loosely laid patio and also raised the height by about a foot as it slopes to the rear and was a bit too low. I also added a large old window that I had and got a new piece of glass and puttied it in as the large pane was missing:

Side window put in, another one I had kicking about (I don't throw anything away!), I also like to use what I have lying about as much as I can:Image

Painted and with some green brackets to make it look nicer. I cut hazel branches for the rail uprights, stripped the bark off and screwed them in place as I wanted that kind of look. I still need to finish the back felt in this photo, before anyone comments!:Image

Sitting in my square meter of wall-shaded terrace i really envy you that! Looks good, I especially like the hazel.
