Hi all
I am currently laying a new Patio and have a slight issue in regard to a manhole cover.
The existing manhole cover in the back garden needs to be replaces with a recessed man hole cover like http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav.jsp?a ... arch=false so I can infill the recess with Patio Slabs. However the size of the existing concrete flush fitting cover is 65 * 50 CM, when I take the cover off the manhole itself has a 2.5 CM lip all around which the cover sits on, the internal dimensions after the lip are 60 * 45. So basically could someone let me know is there an adaptor I can get to sit on the lip so a standard 60 * 45 Cover will fit or do I have to somehow infill the lip in with concrete to fit a standard cover or can I get a 65 * 50 recessed cover which would be an easy option (I have looked but cannot find one) or is there another approach to this.
Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks

Colin

Buy the lid and frame, and fix it to the brickwork

As Mentioned the current concrete measure 65 * 50 where as the recessed lids all seem to be 60 * 45 this is where my problem lies how to fix a smaller lid / fram to the current opening!

Whats the ID of the brickwork.

If if bigger than the frame, take the top course off, and set them in a bit.
