Hi
I'm putting in a new radiator and bought a half inch radiator key. I bought it with the radiator and so expected it to fit the tails. However, it's way too big. I went down to nearest diy store and they don't have any other size. I tried hex keys but the largest one is 10mm. Any ideas what i should be looking for? Is it possible to get these keys in different sizes?
thanks, Clint

I'm a bit confused? The jaws are actually in the radiator tail extensions. There's no way they're ever gonna come out? I'm trying to screw this into the radiator and tighten it in there.....then i'll attach the tail back to the valve and so on.
Thanks, Clint

OK, have it sussed, if I turn the hex nut on the standard tail, i can get enough torque on it to tighten the extension at the same time because they're going in the same direction............it'll never come out again but hopefully, it'll never need to. Thanks for your help. Clint

I use the Rothenberger ratchet drive for these tails.
Mind you, they are a bit 'past it' now.
Most good makes have the external 'flats' for a standard adjustable.
You must have the old Wasp valves or similar.
