I've never entered a fund raising race in my life, I always sponsor people but I'm wondering whether to do my bit as an entrant and to enter the latest advertised one Cancer Research's 5 km "The Race for Life". Sponsors can sponsor entrants online they just need an entrant's name.

www.raceforlife.org

The thing is that I'm not the only one at my work who'd be likely to do it, so I'm testing the water and I wondered if any UHM member would be kind enough to sponsor me. I would want to raise lots of money for Cancer Research.

Louise

Chez,

Thanks for that, very generous. I'm just trying to decide which venue will be the easiest to get to as there are several possibilities at the moment! Derby on May 10th seems to be winning as far as ease of getting there.

I just tried to enter the comp three times and I've been "timed out" so it looks like I'm going to have to try tomorrow.

John,

I'll send all the sponsors a pic of me crossing the line providing my oh is there with the camera! :thumbright: I've pmed you!!

Thank you, so much for the generous offer! I'm so sorry to hear about your wife, it's a horrible disease! The more that is done to get rid of it and diagnose it early the better!

Poor women, a good cause, soggy t shirts! Yuck.

I've now entered the Derby Race on 10th May, so I have an official sponsorship page. If anyone is interested I can pm you the address.

Many thanks,

Louise

Bludall, please let me explain: -

my wife + two daughters do this every year. i sponsor each for £20 each and i also pay the entrance fee for all 3 of them.

i will happily send you £5 through paypal but i think i already contribute enough. i hope that is ok and doesn't seem tight fisted.

:thumbright:

just a thought: -

i know this is kind of putting on one person in particular but........................

i just wonder if CHEZ ought to consider getting Blu's boob size and sending her a UHM top for the race. then all the photo's of her would be advertising the site too :thumbright:

2 things will come from this: -

Chez gets advertising at a relatively cheap cost
Chez gets to know what everybody wants to know
