Tis not begging, it's selling. To some a dirty word.. I do it when we are waiting on a job to start, or in our case a lady's mother died, so job is on hold. If I remember rightly ROC you had a quite period ther recently and had to drum up a bit of business yourself no?

Not that I recall, mate. Been flat out for ages.

I had some weekends spare for earlier this month but they went.

Your job being on hold reminds me of one I did years back in a hospice. Booked in for a certain day and put back at short notice because the bloke in the room didn't die on the day that he was meant to lol.

Was a tiling job, someone on here wanted a tiler, ah maybe was a weekend.

Working weekends, I've had to do it myself but you need to recharge, get perspective back.

Poor bugger, can you imagine knowing that they were expecting you to die, I hope he hung around for another week just to p*ss them off

There was a small tiling job but would have been a weekend.

I was shocked at the hospice (still found it funny at the same time), but then I did actually think of how caring and skilled the staff are that they normally know exactly how long someone has left.
