Our car indicators no longer cancel and turn off as we turn fully. They used to make a louder noise when in use, so could turn them off even with radio on, thereby stopping any accidental use when no longer needed. I wondered whether a mechanism has broken. Any suggestions welcome. It's an 02 Vauxhall with 120k on clock, all bulbs work too.

Sounds a bit like the relay is up err....the creak!

If you look in the fuse box, you can normally spot the relays - you might be lucky and have two the same for different funtions (just making something up here, like windscreen wipers). Quick and dirty test would be to swap them over to see if it works.

two minute job to change, hardest bit is the finding the right one if it's not printed clearly.

Also, don't pay over the odds at a main dealer - they are nothing special.
