i would like to thank Hoovie for his post about Quidco last year. i have used this site for a lot of things i buy online and it has paid well every time.

if there were any doubters or "can't be bothered" people, here is an example of what i got this month.

in Oct last year i bought my car insurance, look how much i saved!!!

Date Merchant Amount Earnings
30 Oct 2007 23:36:14 Prudential Car Insurance 174.30 95.00 received ~ Feb 2008

30 Oct 2007 23:56:40 Play.com 14.99 0.60 received ~ Feb 2008

£79.30 for a whole years insurance fully comp for me and the missus, i can't complain at that :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

Nice one Rich :thumbright: cheers for the thanks as well

I have a bit of a guilty cashback due to me on Quidco at the moment....

Renewed car Insurance end of Jan and went with LloydsTSB as they were only £40 more then current insurers - but offered £90 cashback (making me £50 better off).
Called current insurers (Post Office) to tell them not to auto-renew; they asked how much my new insurance was - told them it was £225 (actually £315 - but £90 cashback on quidco) - they said they couldn't match it totally, but what about £229?
So I went with them and the Lloyds TSB cashback is showing as validated so should still get that as well even though I cancelled LTSB policy
another year for £140 :thumbright:

Since I joined Quidco in Jan 2007, I will have got over £700 cashback, and that is gratis (except maybe £50 for insurances) - I choose my preferred suppliers and THEN see if they do Quidco

n1 :thumbright: . i'd keep quiet about that money from that policy and see if you get away with it

since you told us about it i've got roughly £250 back so far. i love it.

what i've started doing is buying things people want and telling them i might be able to get it a bit cheaper. i buy it, cover the costs quidco save and make the money when it gets paid.

Just redone my Wifes Punto insurance ....

Privilege Insurance wanted £165 for fully comp protected no-claims... went for that via Quidco and should get £100 back in about 2 months -

04 Mar 2008 18:06:07 Privilege Home Insurance 0.00 100.00 tracked ~ Apr 2008

Fully Comp Insurance for a year for £65 - can't beat it  :thumbright:

(For some reason, on quidco home insurance appears as car insurance and car insurance as home insurance - 3rd time this has happened, but who cares  )

I'll try that out feva :thumbright:

I tend to google a shop name, and "voucher" or "promotion" or whatever the checkout talks about and see what comes up.
Moneysavingexpert.com has a great fourm section for codes as well :thumbright:

PS - I have a £10 off code for expansys.com if anyone wants to buy something there - good for anything over £25 but can only be used once.

UPDATE: just looked at vouchercodes.co.uk - looks great! added to my favourites

Just got my £90 cashback paid for the LloydsTSB Insurance I actually cancelled, and £100 cashback paid from Privilege Insurance for the other motor.

Running at £800 cashback paid out since Jan '07 with £60 still due so far :thumbright:

Anyone not using Quidco, give it a go or carry on losing out

yes i've been using them for a long while.

if we get lazy enough to order the shoping online. if i get a code, the delivery is ALWAYS free
i always check for codes as well as using Quidco. you do have to be careful though, some sites void your order discount if you use both and subsequently you end up losing the higher deal.

other places to try for codes as well are: - http://www.vouchercodes.com/?gclid=CKXT ... lAodFVtV5A
http://www.myvouchercodes.co.uk/
http://www.vouchercodes.net/default.aspx
http://www.voucherheaven.com/category.p ... =Computing

last xmas we bought an ipod station for the youngest. it was £100. used Quidco & got 10% off. then added a voucher code and got another 10% off the remaining price. £80 in the end :thumbright:

any recommendations on best place to buy Wii console?

So far the best deal I have found is Comet - Console plus Wii Sports and another game for £189 - they are effectively throwing in the extra game for £10 - Quidco gets me 5% off (I think) , but are there any better deals about? Want the Wii for sometime next week.
