Hi,

Our kitchen has the original tiles (fitted in the 1950's)

The walls are tiled half way up and the tiles protrude from the wall by 23mm !

I have chiseled the tiles off a small area and also chiseled the cement tile base to just below the wall level.
(the amount of rubble was amazing)

I am now left with a rough cement wall and was thinking of using 6mm Prowarm Backer-Pro boards to tile on.

What is the best method of fixing the boards to the wall and what type of tile adhesive should I use on the boards ?

Regards, Dave.

Thanks for your reply Verwood Handyman.

What glue do you recommend for gluing and screwing the Prowarm board to the wall ?

I am using ceramic tiles, which tile adhesive is best for this type of board ?

Dave.

plenty of gap filling adhesives out there gripfill, sticks like sh*t, no more nails etc.

Don't know the pro-warm boards specifically, but almost any cement based (not ready mixed) tile adhesive will work. I prefer Mapei (sp?)
