Hi all whats the best way to protect copper pipes in a chase from the plaster i will have to put in it to make good? I was thinking of denso tape , or would just a strip of gaffer tape be good enough protection from the bonding plaster. The pipes are from a shower mixer above the bath to below the rim of the bath, so only about 3 foot long at tops.
Any help appreciated
Nick

Best stuff is flexible conduit, otherwise wrap it with any tape.

Cement rots copper so the mortar joints of the wall can be a problem so tape the hole pipe I use gaffa tape which you menctioned.

I too use gaffa tape, but bear in mind if these are heating pipes, or HW pipes, the expansion of the copper will probably crack the new plaster filling.
