Hi I painted my kitchen wall with silk emulsion a few months ago but have recently scuffed the wall. When I painted over the scuff with the leftover paint it now looks satin whereas the rest of the wall is shiny, the paint has been stored under the stairs any ideas what has happened to this silk paint thanks

It's most probably still as shiny as before but because you have painted it differently it is reflecting light from a different angle.

Vinyl silk can be very difficult to touch in..you will have to paint the whole wall again.

agreed, can be difficult but not impossible. Clean the whole wall (sugar soap) and rinse; using a good quality brush cover the scuff and feather out to blend in.
