Hi all,

I'm having a problem with a Salus RT300RF wireless thermostat and receiver. When the thermostat temperature is turned up, the green light on the receiver turns on and the boiler fires up. Within a few minutes, the green light on the receiver turns off again - am I right in thinking that the green light on the receiver should stay lit until the thermostat temperature is reached? If so, it seems to me the most likely problem is interference from another system?

Is my best option to try changing the RF address code? If so, that leads to my second question - I'm really struggling to remove the front cover of the receiver. Can anyone with experience tell me how easy it should be to take off? As you may have guessed, I'm not overly experienced and a bit worried about breaking it!

Cheers for any help
James

Only a guess, and this is just a guess.

Have you changed the batteries in the radio room thermostat? (Doesn't matter how old they are)

Thanks for the suggestion! The thermostat isn't showing any signs of needing new batteries but will definitely give it a try.

Just fitted one of these, there are two small vertical screws, #1 Phillips or small flat s.diver, at the bottom edge which pass through slots in the front cover of the relay, loosen only and cover pulls out and up to unhinge But be aware 240v present, isolate first due danger and damage to relay pins!!
The Salus update frequency is every 10 minutes from the stat and so you could be right that another unit is interfering, neighbours, as stat has a 30 mtr range but as SE suggests batteries are a good starting point.

Or if the later version from 2010, download manual from Salus site:

Yep, this is the manual that I have. It says to change the DIP switch levers, which would be fine if I could get the cover off :-)

Couldn't see any screws on the receiver unit, but will take another look tonight and have another go at getting that cover off...

Thanks all for the advice
