I have a problem, I have plastered a whole room, walls were skimmed over old lath and plaster and ceilings were new board, I went over the old as I wanted to keep the moldings, picture rail etc, all walls and ceilings have come out fine except, an alcove where there was a built in wardrobe, the house is 90yrs old and has had little done,
The first go in the alcove (unibond +2 coats multi) blew and I thought that maybe I forgot to unibond or something, although I didn't.

I scraped it all off and keyed the wall with a stanly,.... good unibond (tacky).... tight hardwall.... two multi, and now it has air bubbles in it again, before it has gone off,

What am I missing ? is it distemper ? how do I deal with it ?

I am sure it is gonna come off again tomorrow.

Regards and thanks for looking

What was the inside out the cupboard painted with? Get a textured surface remover onto it when the skim has come off and use WBA as well if you really want to be belt and braces.

Or hack it right back and hardwall before skimming.

The inside was wallpapered and the wall looked just like the rest of the walls when it was removed, no obvious paint.
I may have got away with it, I popped the air bubbles (some golf ball size) and gave it a real hard troweling (technical term ha ha) but won't know now until it is dry.

if it has to come off again I will take it right back.

thank you again jozeffo
