I just visited the Toolfair 2008 at the Yorkshire event centre.

I was watching the demonstration of the Power 8 workshop as it was generating a lot of interest and was also being filmed as they had some celebrity from a well known DIY show ( never seen him or show before, but I don't watch much TV )

I remember when he was developing this workbench, he made a post on here and I was probably not so kind to him ( can't find the post, so might of deleted it  )

The workbench looked quite useful though and it would be a very handy tool for some DIY jobs-

It looks better in real life :thumbright:

Good luck to the guy, he must of spent a forutune on developing it and promoting it. At least he has the balls to take on the massive powertool manufacturers :thumbright:

Thanks Ultimate Handy Man, It was great to meet you.
I don't think there is any need to defend the POWER8 workshop as I know it has some limitations, but don’t all power tools. It will never replace a bench mounted drill press or a full size table saw but this is not the reason it was developed. The basic idea is to take some of the functionality from your workshop out where it’s needed.

I could spend all day trying to tell you how durable and useful the POWER8 workshop is but the only way to make an informed decision is to use one. I'd love to hear from some of the people who have purchased one and find out how I can improve on the product.
Cheers Chris
