My EP2 programmer seems to be working fine. It triggers the boiler to come on when the HW is selected without issue. However, I tried to switch on the CH recently after not being used for several months and it fails to trigger the boiler to put the CH on. The red indicator light is ON, but as I said it fails to trigger the boiler to come on.
Can someone please advise the cause and resolution.

What system do you have, 'Y' plan, or 'S' plan?

I would be checking the heating motorised valve first.

[Thinking out loud]
What is the room stat set at?
If its set lower than the room temp actually is, then the boiler will not come on, or if its one like we had, it may need new batteries.
