Ok....
Have set up the phone as a modem & it's working ok :-)

Tried the BT- Connect - 0121 7629011 number & all goes well until it tries to confirm my user name & password......we didn't think of that one did we.... :lol: :roll:

Most of these ISPs are free to join - I used to have accounts with loads just as a backup if one went down. TRick now will be to find one that has a free account and an 01 tele number.

Good progress so far :thumbright:

BTW - suggest you dial that number and leave it connected for 5 mins or so (even though not logged on) - then check if your inclusive time has dropped - re the point on data versus voice inclusivity.

Checking if my inclusive minutes have dropped is the hard part....the system takes 24-48 hours to show this :roll:

The good news is that I can sign up to BT connect PAYG for free :-)
