Not my mishap but this happened to a friend of mine. He was decorating and thought he'd make it easier for himself by removing a radiator to decorate behind it. Ok, so we all know to leave the valves on the pipes and shut them off so the only water likely to escape is what's contained within the rad? Well, we all know that but unfortunately he didn't. He shut the valves down but left them on the rad, undid them, lifted the rad off the pipes and was suddenly faced with a nice fountain. He panicked, dropped the rad and punched the pipe through the hole in the floorboards. This is the same guy who nailed a floorboard down and put the nail straight through a pipe, he repaired it with a bit of garden hose and a couple of jubilee clips!

Ooops!

He's actually quite a handy bloke, he just has the odd 'cabbage' moment
He once took a business client out for a meal, they both had shell-on prawns and it was only after they'd both finished eating that he noticed the pile of shells on the other guy's plate and his....nice empty one! He said he'd never had them before and thought they were supposed to be a bit crunchy.

I like that one!
