I have to cut a lot of 10mm thick polycarbonate into various sizes.

The edges need to be pretty straight aswell.
I know i can cut it with a jigsaw no problem, but i dont fancy cuttying it all with a jigsaw, any other suggestions?
How about a circular saw...maybe its a bit fast....?

A circular saw will be a lot easier for straight cuts. You can get a special blade for cutting plastics which makes cutting it much easier. It is best if the saw blade can be set so that it only just cuts through the material. My cordless circular saw does not adjust and so a lot of heat is generated by the blade, my corded saw adjusts and cuts plastic with ease.

For cutting narrow pieces I use a laminate cutting blade in my 10 inch chop saw, this is a great way to cut plastic but you have to watch for it chipping when you are almost through the piece.

A negative rake blade form here will cut plastics easily- http://www.silverlinetools.com/shop/Pow ... es/d5/sd16

There is one for cutting alluminium, one for windows and one for veneer, all of which should be great on plastic as they are all negative rake.

I bought a small dewalt blade that fits my cordless circular saw and that is very good, I sourced that off ebay.
