Been using these masks for 5 years now. I think they are great compared to any of the paper type ones.

Fully seals round your mouth and nose, with zero leaking in or out through these seals. As i wear glasses, i have never found a mask that didnt steam them up. It they steam the glasses up, it means the mask isnt sealing correctly, this one does the job.

Sometimes wear this mask for full days of work, and its very comfortable

UHM, stick one on your next order, and give it the UHM recommended stamp Thumbright

in the instructions it doesnt actually say anything about time limits, i get a new one once a year.

But i dont use it every day, maybe on average, once a week for a few hrs. i just keep it clean and wipe the inside with medical wipes every now and again.

We have a similar type one at work for when there are chemical spills.

They are good if you need one regularly, but for the diyer I think they would rather pay 10 pence each for disposable ones.

but, the 10 pence ones dont work. Main problem is they dont seal correctly, which defeats the purpose of them Confused

I think a lot of people - myself included - end up either not wearing dust masks coz they end up steaming up glasses - either protective or perscription, Or they end up not wearing protective glasses and wear the mask.

I think if any significant amount of time (maybe as little as 20 min a day average) is spent on sanding - esp MDF, or painting/varnishing, then a 'proper' mask is worth it. Can't replace your lungs as cheaply!

Good investment, Handy. Thumbright

(of course the downside is you lose the interesting side-effects after spending a few hours applying UHoo glue in confined spaces Shocked Shocked Shocked )

Good quality glasses cleaners help prevent misting up, and good googles do aswell, the Uvex ones i use have an antimist coating on the lenses, which does work well. Thumbright

the whole point is if your glasses steam up it means the mask is leaking on your breath out, hence its leaking on your in breath

Confused ..............i've just confused myself Laughing
