Actually a sink.
Good quality Franke sink. Needs refurbing to shiny.
Was thinking of using some of the polishing compound I use to detail the cars paintwork, what do you metal folks recommend? _________________ Jaeger.

Not called for when you are asking for advice
We've got a Franke SS sink and our fitters said it was one of the best out there (the company, rather than the particular sink!). Within a few hours of fitting it I scratched the bowl - it scratches very easily to the extent that I thought about taking it out again. 3 years down the line its well and truely scratched but it looks more consistent and 'brushed' effect. |

Give it a try, whats the worst that can happen. It may be a bit fine, Machine mart do very cheap metal polishing kits, so does SF I think. _________________ Stella Stella Stella oy oy oy |

Do you want a smooth satin finish, brushed of mirror?
I aasume you dont want mirror?
For satin, a few scothbrite pads and a bit of tcut, and a big pot of elbow grease.

If you want a shiny satin finish, youll need a felt wheel and some polishing compound.
Will eventually end up mirror if you keep going and going!!

If you guys are looking for a satin finish there is a mop call a fibral
mops impregnated with a fine abrasive it will certainly give you a satin finish
on stainless steel. If you want a mirror finish then there are certain proceedures to follow ,abrasive pre work ,pre polishing and finishing you can buy a kit to do this but make sure you buy the correct kit with all the right
mops and abrasives ,polishing can be easy by doing it correctly. Cetem/
ABC Polishing have custom made kits to suit the job, |
