I have just purchased my first property and am loving this forum to help me with numerous DIY queries so hoping someone can help me with this one.

I have an Aqulisa Power Shower installed (http://www.aqualisa.co.uk/parts-store/C ... er-shower/) which was great for the first few days but suddenly started to lose power and temperature. Whilst doing another job I reset the electrics which caused the shower to regain power and temperature. A few days later and I'm getting the same problem which is rectified by reseting the electrics...does anyone know what might be the problem here?

What electric are you re-setting,

I'm just tripping the switch on the fuse box.

So you just turn the trip off and back on, and that increases the power/temperature to the shower.

Don't like the sound of that, perhaps the thread would be better in electrically,

That's correct....

I've just bounced this into the leccy forum as it seems better suited there. Lets hope it doesn't end up in decorating before it's solved

is the shower on its own MCB?

i remember in the good old days of being a spark, i used to fit mira advanced showers for the bloody council in the instructions it stated you had commission the shower by running it for certain lengths of time at certain settings for ti to work correctly, we advised the customer not to use the 45amp shower switch for turning the shower on and off because it buggered it up and reset it and un-commissioning it did they pay attention did they hell

moral of my story is have you read the instructions

I didn't fit the shower so don't know and don't have the instructions I'm afraid.

from the mi's i would be ringing the manufacturers for technical and troubleshooting help and the control pack seems fully contained, and there are no trouble shooting hints and tips in the mi's

from my experience on boilers and fire alarm panels resetting and it works for a couple of days happens far to much, its usually a sing the pcb is failing
