hello

i have a problem with condensation &damp i am having upvc windows fitted but live in a property with no insulation on walls built i think around 1930's

to solve this i have dot & dabed foam backed plasterboard to a wall about a year ago.its definatly helped . i am thinking of doing this to all outside walls but am worrid i might be hiding the problem will damp continue to go on to these walls through the plasterboard . or will it stop the condensation happening that i think is causeing the damp.

please help

Hi,

It should help reduce the condensation as it will not condense on the walls as much as they will be warmer due to the insulation and extra layer of plasterboard.
