hi all
i have a halstead finest gold combi boiler. the expansion vessel is shot,a plumber has told me that it is easy to fit an external vessel, just tee off a radiator return pipe anywhere in system and fit new vessel.

my question is does it have to be the return pipe ? on the rad in qusstion it would be so much easy to tee off flow pipe, is there any reson why this can't be done ?
any advice will be greatly received
many thanx paul

Technically they should be in the return as close to the boiler as possible.
