I would be greatful for a part number for the motor found on these saws. Mine is humming and not rotating. Probably burnt out after the cooling blade came detached.

If it is not possible to get the motor the alternative might be to match one up. Not having a manual it is a harder task as I cannot find the power or speed of the motor.

Any help would be greatfully received.

I had what sounds like same problem with my KITY 419 a couple of months back.

If you spin the blade manually [watch the fingers] does it pick up and run ?

If it does, probably just the capacitor has burnt out.[ie. the little cylinder, approx.3x1.5",alongside the motor & connected with 2 push on connecters.]

The electrical spec. is printed on the case. I found replacement at MAPLIN for the huge sum £5.57. They are available online if no store locally.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that.
If I help it to start it just stops again. I replaced the capacitor just in case but no different.

Unfortunately, the motor plate is missing so I cant see what the spec is. That was why I was asking incase anyone could help.

Thanks
Nigel

Well ive looked but i couldn't find anything for a 617, so i guess your best option would be to try --> http://www.kityuk.com/ also check the number you've given because i could only find stuff for a 619 table saw.
