hard to say giggles, need to know where the mould is coming from, more than likely just a condensation/moisture problem.

any signs of damp? external wall? if you wash it off does it come back? is the paint on the wall silk/vinyl?

no sign of damp... wall not painted behind were sink unit was
was going to paint over it and see if in time it comes through
the paint or any signs of change with it
does that sound like a plan of action?

give it a good scrub with a 50/50 mix of bleach and water..should get rid of any remaining mould/spores.
Rinse thoroughly then when it's dry emulsion over..
