Hi guys, id be grateful if someone could chime in on the following two images and tell me if they point towards any signs of rising damp or any issue we need to be aware of.

The first image is of a wall which seems to be flaking towards the lower end due to issues unknown and the second is of a door with some kind of moulding which extends to the timber frame also. Opinons kindly appreciated :thumbleft:

The first picture looks like rising damp for sure, but it could also be penetrating damp.

Is it an external wall, and is the outside in good condition?

The second picture could be damp spores- have you tried cleaning the marks off?
