I think the worse thing I had forgotton was a girl who came up to chat to me in the street, recognised the face but couldnt place it anyway so I asked for hints on her name, when I didnt get any of the clues she bluntly told me that we lived together for nearly 5 years - oopps and I am only 35

I gave up trying to remember names - I just call ladies either "love" or "babe" and blokes are addressed as "mate". You should see me down the pub, apart from close friends and the barmaids I havent a clue what everyone else is called. Facebook is putting it right though - when I get friends request my first thought is 'wow - I would never have guessed that is his name'
