We have recently came across our daughter, who is old enough to know better, pouring water into the cavity wall. We are wondering whether it will have caused any lasting damage.

We have found her pouring a pop-bottle amount of water down a gap in her window sill upstairs. It is possible that much more has gone down there. We assume it is going into the cavity. The only damage we can see externally is salts on the face of a couple of bricks, however nothing internally.

The house is modern construction and with cavity wall insulation put in later on. We understand it was fibre blown in via drilled holes.

We wanting to know whether this will have caused any problems and whether we should have an investigation or remedial work done?

Thanks
