Hi All

First post (apart from saying hi so be gentle lol).

A couple of weeks ago the missus had trouble adjusting the bath/shower mixer lever, got a bit too forcefull, and broke the diverter! Here is the tap (anyone know the manufacturer?) and the diverter in one piece:

And this is it now :cb

I've had a hunt for a replacement diverter in a few plumbers merchants around west London without any luck so thought I'd see if anyone on here knows any places to try.

Seeing as it doesn't look good for finding a replacement diverter, I'm looking to replace the mixer tap. I've taken the bath panel off and having looked at the piping, it looks like it's going to be a bit of a mission to get the mixer off!

Here are the pipes with the tap connectors tightend:

And here they are with the connectors loose:

It looks like the tap tails have been pushed down onto the piping. With the top tap connector loose there isn't any movement of the pipe from the tap tail so I'm not sure how I can seperate the pipe from the tail. Here is a zoomed image of the top tap connector:

If I could separate the tap tails from the pipes I was thinking of cutting the pipe and using flexible hose but I'm not at that stage yet so I'll put that to one side at the moment!

Anyway, sorry if it's a bit of a long post. Hopefully someone will be able to give me a few pointers.

The tap connector in the close up pic, just connects the pipes to the tap, when you undo the nut holding the tap to the bath it will just pull apart.

Get a couple of new washers for when you replace it.
