Hi all
Just about to tile my bathroom with 200x330mm tiles. My walls are a mixture of Aquapanel, plasterboard and plastered block.
Would appreciate advice on which adhesive to use as some of it is around a bath and shower. I usually do a good job but I am usually slow so a ready mixed one will be ideal, but I'm concerned with the tile size I have. Also which size spacers would be best?
I'm also wondering the best way of securing the bath to the timber frame that I made as it came with no fixing brackets.
Thanks for any help

With tiles of that size bagged adhesive is best as a tubbed adhesive may not fully set. BAL CTF3 is a good choice. You can mix as much or as little as you want to work with, so there's no rush.
3mm spacers would be OK.

In your situation, I would use Mapei Adesilex P9. Its a polymer modified adhesive and has an 8 hour pot life and excellent grab. BAL CTF3 is good too but if you are fixing vitrified tiles, or fixing to a stud wall, you would have to mix BAL AD1 with it to give it a degree of flexibility. I would use a 2mm spacer unless the tiles were cheap (and so possible size issues) in which case I would use 3mm spacers. Any tiling onto gypsum substrates with cement based adhesives will have to be primed. Mapei Primer G or BAL APD.
