Hi All,
Is there on the internet where i could save files, pictures, winrar files, documents, so i could free up my memory from my computer and uploaded on to these websites.

I would be very wary of uploading everything to online storage and not keeping the originals "in your possession" on your computer.

There are lots of online storage sites:

Which are fine for using as backup storage, but to just keep all your data and pictures on a web site and not have them on your computer is not really feasable. You would have to be 'on line' just to access them.

How full is your hard drive now?
Does it have a second partition?
Is it a PC or a laptop?

What I did is buy a remote hard drive, plugged it into a usb port and put everything onto it.

Even have some programs that start from the remote hard drive, all my boiler manuals for example and God knows how many pics.

See the 3 pictures, as i have 2 drive and the C drive is nearly full and the D drive there is lot of space.

The reason i wanted to take it off, as my operating programmes is saved on the C drive.

My computer is slow when i go on internet and it takes ages to load the computer on when you start and when you open internet.

Just move stuff that you would store on the internet over to your D drive instead.
More RAM would make it faster.
Probably only cost about £20 or £30 to up your RAM from 480Mb to 2Gb.
Check Ebay for RAM to fit your laptop. Make sure you get the correct speed of RAM to suit your processor clock. Faster is good but slower will slow things down. Easiest way to check your RAM speed is to take one of your crrent ones out and look on it.
Other way it to go onto the crucial website and do a check my computer for RAM upgrade options thing.
Should tell you what speed you have, number of used slots etc. etc.
It is easy to fit yourself.

As Mike said, move your My Documents folder to the D: partition for a start

Once you have moved them over to the D: partition run Ccleaner, both the registry cleaner and the Cleaner.

Once you have run Ccleaner then defrag each drive (C: & D:) in turn.

The registry cleaner in Ccleaner is a very mild cleaner and I run it about once a week if I have been doing a lot of downloading and then uninstalling of programs to try out.
Occasionally, I may recommend Eusing Free Registry Cleaner

There are many arguments about whether cleaning the registry is of any benifit or not in speeding up a computer.
I am of the school that any increase in speed on a PC or laptop will not be noticable by the human brain and could only be timed by a precise stop watch.

It is like a mother tidying up a teenage daughters bedroom, it will not get her dressed any quicker but mother feels a lot better after doing it.

That one does not seem to work either. Just keeps coming up with it encountered an error please restart the programme every time.
(Running windows vista home basic which it does claim to support)

I checked the dropbox and you can save 2GB for free any over that they charge monthly depending on the GB you required.

I have dowloaded the Eusing Free Registry Cleaner and see how this go.

I have been told by Sony Technical to type the below if your computer starts slow
Please temporarily disable startup items as follows; 1) Click Start and in

instantsearch - type msconfig 2) Click the startup tab then click "disable all" and click ok 3) Restart the Vaio and try again If everything works ok again. Open the System Utility Configuration Utility by typing msconfig in instant search again and under the general tab, select "normal startup" and click ok.

I will need to disabled some of the start programme to make the computer open a little faster.

You are going slightly off your own topic.

Before you start mucking about with the MSCONFIG startup list, have you transfered your data files to the D: drive/partition.
Get that done first because you do not have enough space left to do a Defrag.

Once you have transfered, defrag each drive letter in turn, then come back and we will go through your startup list. Just preventing everything except Windows from starting will, obviously, get a faster startup time but a computer is no good if the security programs do not start. You would be wide open to any and all the infections on the web.

Thank you for your reply.

I did move some of the files this morning, but still showing very less free space 2.67GB.

There some files it could not move, as the message appeared you may lose data, so i never moved them.

There are some operating files and i do not know if i can move this file from C to D drive, as i might get the message you may lose data.

I will try tonight or tommorrow early morning.

Check that the files have been transfered to D: and then look at the C: drive and see if they are still there. They probably are as your drive is still almost full.
Sometimes they get COPIED across instead of MOVED across.
If they have been copied across then, once you are happy that you can access them on teh D: drive, you can delete the copy on C:

DO NOT attempt to move operating files.
