took the plastic front off the machine, as it had frozen in the shed  Got a blow heater on it, and 1/2 hour later, worked again. So, its also survived being frozen..........

Had a look for the minor oil leak (previous post), but it was so little, I just wiped the casing clean, and will look again after a few days of use.

Only thing that was wrong when i took the case off, was the internal hose is slightly too long, so was chaffing on the plastic casing, and the protective rubber covering of the hose was almost through to the metal.................. a bit of leccy tape solved that one.

If you have one of these machines, I would check that, as a bit of tape is cheaper than a new hose

i was going to ask if you'd drained it over winter as we've had a few fecked ones come into the workshop, mainly BRENDAN units.
they are good machines but the ones we get have the yanmar engine because honda have stopped making the 9hp diesel engine, we also get the frames galvanised
we had a run on brass ball valves with the side blown out of them due to frost, mostly 1/2" & 3/4" but also had a couple of 3" & 4" ones

Thats it, I've had enough of bloody pressure washers ::b

This ones has went to heaven after 1 year 2 months of intermittent use. The motor is sticking, and as the pressure washers main part is the motor, its as good a scrap (spares or repair) I will phone back the service agent and ask them for a price of a new motor, but i cant see it being under £200, so I wouldn't fix it.

Got dm tools to phone Nilfisk to ask if it can be fixed under "not fit for purpose" and Nilfisk say no.

Hopefully the lost sales from people finding this thread on google will loose them a lot more than the £430 I've wasted on it :cb

it's a plate on the motor shaft that is off perpendicular, a sprung loaded plunger off centre but in line with the shaft would be forced in & out

Motor is out, and its tight to spin, as if its out of center. Hope it wasnt the oil, is it not meant to be a sealed unit? When i looked, it had 1 drop of oil on the ground. Opened and cleaned inside, as there was a slight misting of oil on the casing, used for mabye 40 more hours, looked again, and it was still clean. To me, its dropped 1 teaspoon of oil in over a year.

On the other hand, it could have dropped all the oil (before i seen the drop) when it was sitting on grass, and I wouldnt have seen it.

And even worse, if I had seen this then, it would have still be under warranty :cb (the makita 131 also dropped all its oil)

I understand how frustrating it is when tools let you down :cussing:

But would it be dead if it hadn't been frozen and used without oil in it
