Coming back to Europe at Easter. Missing too many things from blighty! Will probably live in Norway though (wife is Norsk).

Might even commute to UK to work via RyanAir if it looks too bl**dy cold in Norway!

Just getting into all this www stuff and looking forward to having a bit of fun joining in answering Q's on here.

:hello2:

Yes, been in New Zealand for about 18 months now. Wife applied for a job and I wanted to spend a year or so with the kids before they got all growed up and started school.

Its cool out here but its not enough to keep us here!

I know a friend of a friend that sold up and moved over there, but they only lasted a few months as they said it was boring.

Thanks guys,

Yup, NZ is boring...unless you are into drinkin' huntin' fishin' and shootin'......(not too bad then :?)

Have to admit that it is a bit of a cultural wasteland although you can't convince the Kiwis, who all, to a man, think that this place is 'Gods Own'.

Anyone who has been to Scotland, knows better!

It has been a great place to kick back for a couple of years and would be great for a holiday but the rest of your life....no.

AND, as we are all construction peeps you would be appalled with the standard of the houses.

Man, I have never been so cold in my life and I have lived in Scandinavia! 9 degrees was the lowest recorded temp INSIDE the bedroom. Thin timber walls, single glazing (and lots of it), no central heating, no ventilation, mould everywhere, clothes go moldy even if you never close the doors!, houses raised up of the ground and no insulation, just 19mm of board between your ar5e and the outside! etc etc.

Beaches are ok though but the water is cold 10 months of the year..

Oh dear, oh dear, sorry turned into a rant :cussing:

No guess not!

We are up North in Whangarei, North Island. Supposedly the 'playground' for Auckland.

Place would be awesome if you had a little boat which lots and lots of the locals do have. Some serious exploring could be done.

Not really any pubs either, the odd 'bar' which looks like the old working mans clubs used to do years ago. Gotta watch where you sit kind of thing, in case your in Freds 'seat'......

Still, can't complain....
