Hi Guys, new to this forum.
I have a stupid question, but then that's me all over.
Can a strike locks be linked to a fire alarm system? I am under the impression that all strike locks should be "fail secure" where I want a "fail safe" lock, so that if the power is removed the lock will open.
If they can....how?
Thanks in advance.
Ian...the not so bright spark. |

Yes they have to be fail safe and most are based on a the 'yale' type lock - that is from the inside you simply turn a yale lock to open door to escape from a fire whereas on the outside you would not want to run INTO a building on fire!! _________________ Never lie - that way you don't have to remember what you said. |
