I've been using Dulux trade for years now and have noticed that most of my skirtings and arch's go off white in about 12-18 months. One of my painters on site recently said that Dulix once is awfull for it and to use??????? thats where my mind goes blank! I would ask him again, but we're both on holiday. him in Thailand and me decorating my house??? scratch

Any suggestions! Much appreciated!

Oh and I smoke, have pets, and need to gloss an entire house!!! Literally all the woodword! Cheers

Hi mate,

All solvent/oil base products will eventually yellow, thats down to its base, you being a smoker dosnt make that much difference.

If you want non-yellowing then water base is the way forward for you, although there are some quality issues these can be got round. Dulux made a waterbased trade gloss, it was called aquatech but now its eco something? Basically be prepared for two coats and to add an additive called Floatrol and jobs a good'en. It will stay white and dry faster than conventional gloss, and recent formulations are much harder wearing.
