Something Hoovie said reminded me of when i had a Cavalier, it is advisable to have the water pump replaced if you have the cambelt changed as you may find that this will start to leak after the belt has been fitted, i had my belt replaced and not the pump and about a week later it started to leak although it wasn't a major job to replace

I'd read that too but they weren't concerned enough to point it out and they are a pretty good garage.Well if it leaks it'll have to be changed next time. I assume I'm just looking for high water temp on the gauge if it leaks and a puddle!

just keep an eye on the water coolant level in the expansion bottle Thumbright - maybe even make a little mark on it to show current level and check it never changes.
Cars nowadays should never loose coolant fluid

Mooncat Jr has a Hyundai coupe 2.7 litre v6, he's just paid £540 for a cambelt and tensioner change, together with the lower pulley which had disintegrated.

The cambelt had a small tear in it, so we caught it at the right time.

The whole cambelt kit was made in Canada. Don't they make them in this country?
