Hi there. Any decent builders yard or timber merchants will have a wide range of decking.

With regards to tips on construction. Check out the Ultimate Handyman guide to decking on the Section links.

Assuming that it's 12 feet not meters, and that you don't want to run the boards at 45 degrees, I'd get 4.2m boards delivered by someone like Travis Perkins. That way you can run single boards all the way across without any joins.

Local wood yards can often be cheap for decking supplies. The las stuff I bought was from empress timber in Clitheroe, they were much cheaper than anywhere else.

For the how to-

Yes its going to be 12 ft. Any idea how much 4.2m boards are. How much do you think the whole job will cost me..

I'm assuming you've done it now anyway, but the boards should cost around £186 for thick ones or £110 for 20mm ones, frame would come in at around £65 if you used standard 4 x 2 for a flat deck. By the time you've got screws and ensele etc I reckon you are looking at approx £300 for a complete decking kit.
