Hi Chill & welcome to UHM,
Never even heard of it till a couple of months ago when the client came up with a bunch of rolls. Pasting was the only problem with a standard pasting table - tried it cross ways but took ages to paste up, eventually went for lengthways down the table working from the far side towards me so I didn't end up with (more than normal!) paste all over me. It was well useful having an extra pair of hands to help with concertina-ing. Other than that nae probs, hanging was no different than normal and we rattled through the room dead quick. |

Hi 54aardvark,thanks for the reply. Was the paper you used a butt join product or overlap & trim?

Butt join which made things a lot easier. It was a very heavy vinyl but spliced no problem where needed.

Just had a thought (which I should have had a few weeks ago) re pasting - shouldn't be too much of a problem to get a sheet of hardboard 1370 x 2000 and rest it on top of pasting table so you're not having paper hanging over the sides of the table. Bit of a stretch, but should help.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never come across pasting tables that width before and if its just for a one off, would it be worth it?

Hi thanks for advice. Was thinking of maybe getting another paste table & joining the two but ply-board may be better.
