The bathroom is starting soon and I'm wondering about the finish round the bath.

Everything is being done from scratch and we've paid good money for fittings so I want the finish to look right if you know what I mean...

I've got enough Sealux Pro 25 under tile strips to go round the whole bath, but I'm wondering how it will look.

Would it be better just to tile onto the bath, fill it with water and then use sealant in the gap scratch

Looking for your advice folks - what gives the 'higher class' finish

Cheers

Thanks Hanky Thumbright

I was thinking the same.

I've already bought the strips Bang Head but I keep looking at them thinking they might look a bit cheap.

Which they weren't Bang Head Bang Head , but compared to the £1,000's the rest of the tat cost me it's not a lot and will end up being given to somebody.

Yes, sealant, the only time I have found a strip to look good is when I used Schluter Dilex- AS, in conjunction with a wet room

That'll do - working on the basis that all four of you can't be total tit heads with the taste of a pikey the strips are out the window

Mind you when the sealant is mouldy and manky I might think different..!

Thanks to all Thumbright

Just in case you hesitate when about to throw the strip away — I'd always use sealant too.

Don't let your Mrs leave a wet cloth over the seal because that will make it go manky.

Leave a couple of mm gap and then fill the bath before sealing.

Good sanitary grade sealant as well............and good ventilation. Thumbright
