Hi, I have bought some paper for a "feature wall" the wife wants in the bedroom. The paper says that i should paste the wall and then hang the vinyl paper on the pasted wall. It also says in very small print, this paper can be hung normally. I presume it means i can paste the paper as i have always done in the past. What is the best way to do this and also if I paste the paper how long should i allow it to soak???
thank you

Yes your correct you can do it either way, and pasting the wall isnt that bad a method if you can do it, failing that stick with tradition and the label should say a soak time, if not about 5 mins, all depends on thickness really. _________________ "Where would we be without rules?

if you paste the paper use a roller instead of a brush as some vinyls stretch when yu are pasting them and this can distort your pattern _________________ IF IT WERE EASY ITD B BORING! |

No Korka, just that some people dont like the idea of paste the wall, also the paste you use is stronger and you dont have much play once its up.
Marc - never had a paper distort when pasting, be that by brush, roller or through my machine, the only time a correctly printed/manufactured pattern will distort is when you leave it to soak too long and then man-handle it mate. _________________ "Where would we be without rules?

When borders were in vogue I would still paste the self adhesive ones, they were a nightmare to apply, as you couldnt get any play with them, so in the end I would paste them, never had any problems. _________________ When I first met my Mr Right, I didnt realise his first name was Always. |
