|

Hi guys,
I've fitted a recessed cabinet in my bathroom and I'm trying to figure out what would be the most suitable hinge to use for the door. My intention is to have a mirrored door sitting flush up against the wall when closed. To kind of give the illusion it's just a mirror hanging on the wall.
I tried some concealed cabinet hinges from B&Q - similiar to the ones used in kitchen cupboards but when closed, the door is raised off the wall by about 1 cm on the side where the hinges are fitted.
Basically I want to achieve something very close to this:
http://www.concealedcabinet.com/
But I can't seem to find those hinges anywhere.
Thanks in advance,
Glenn |

I have done exactly the same thing in my bathroom and you have to make sure the edge of the door is at the edge of the cabinet - then there should be no problem.
As Big-All says, they are standard kitchen hinges so look at one of your kitchen cupboards and copy it _________________ If you have a son, DO NOT name him after a verb ....

Thanks guys.
When the door is open, the edge of the door is only about 2mm from the frame of the cabinet. When closed it's about 12mm!? |

you must have your hinges 10mm to far away from the edge off the door
forcing you to mount your hinges 10mm to far forward on the cabinet when open!!!! _________________ we are all ------------------still learning |

do you have any kitchen units in your house!!!
if so look at the cabinet that will give you the measurments that your hinges need to be set at
does the front of your cabinet overhang the side by around 10mm!!! _________________ we are all ------------------still learning |
