Hi

The rendering on the outside of my house is cracked in numerous places, does this mean I have to have it all taken off and replaced? its damp in various places now, and is it a really expensive job? I live in the Birmingham area so appreciate any help

If it's dead ie gives a hollow knock when it is tapped then yes it is best to remove and start again

if a weak mix was used the whole lot will just fall off once u get the hammer out,

was at a job today where interal sand/cement was cracking, could tell it ws about a 9-1 mix once we put the hammer to it half the wall just started coming off
