After cutting down a few unwanted ash trees I decided to make a bench from the lumber.

The bench is constructed with simple housed joints screwed then dowelled.

The seat is lumbers ripped down to approx 5" x 1" and is surprisingly comfy.

I just need to give it a quick sand down then treat with preservative.

Took me almost 2 days to make the hardest most tedious part was removing the bark from the ash.

This will now reside in my garden.

Thanks UHM'ers..... Razz

Just thought I would do my bit for the enviroment and use the wood for something useful rather than set fire to it Laughing

Think I kinda like it too.

How long did you let the wood dry out before you started making this? Nice job
