Ok here we go...here's a few pics of the laser flange that is fitted to the Metabo KGS255 plus....

Laser in place

Laser front

Laser rear

Arbour...this only projects out approx 3-4mm

Laser without bolt...as you can see the arbour could come through the laser quite a way further....approx 6mm

Bolt (left hand thread)

I think from the dimensions that have been given in this thread it's quite likely that the Metabo laser would fit onto the Dewalt....obviously it would be great if a laser could be tried on to confirm this 100%.

The Metabo laser is available as a spare part, it is part #46 & is available from:

Cheers.

Hi,
sorry for the delay in posting back...

Yeah that does look like the space is tight, I think the laser would have to be tried onto the saw to make sure it would fit.

Regards.

Hi uncle buck, why worry about using an aftermarket replacemnt from another saw, why not buy one of the irwin ones specially designed for the saw, i bought one from america last year and it is great, fits in same place as the metabo one and comes with washers to make it fit most saws

Heres a link to the one i have, i know its from america, but gives you the idea and the part number to search more
