hi guys i am new so thanks everyone i have been reading this forum for 3 months
My builder is doing our new bathroom with new tiles etc... i have a good extractor fan (and window) but i am concerned that some family houses i see mould on the grout and shower areas. Do you think its wise me asking the builder put on Unibond Anti-Mould Shower & Bathroom sealant to the tile work too? or will i be ok as i do have a good xpelair fan (50L/per sec extraction rate)
any advice guys? will i be wasting my money as it will not make much difference?? |

I'd definately specify the anti mould stuff, even with an extractor. _________________ DIY | DIY Video |

Builders would generally use the bog standard crappy silicon. No pun intended.
You need Sanitary grade silicon..................If you want to be sure..........you supply it |

Silicon goes on 5 minute before you get paid...........well for me anyway.
Its the very last job to do when ALL the tiling is finished, Grouted, and polished off
Then tools in the van...........
Then silicon.............
Then get paid..........
Then bugger off |
