I am replacing old bath (my first attempt at one!).....
But the pipes are being awkward!
New taps take 22mm fittings....
But I have to join them to a tee which seems to be slightly too small to take 22mm pipe...any ideas as to what size this tee may be?
(It seems to be quite old, very very chunky, much bigger than a usual tee and the pipe size is not marked on the end of it...is does have the word INSTANTOR on the end and a PAT PENDING followed by a long number.
Have tried screwing 3/4 inch ring onto the end of it, but it's too small to fit onto the tee.
Have tried fitting 22mm ring onto it, but it feels like it starts to cross thread.
the nuts on the end of the tee are amlost an inch long..much bigger than a modern nut.

HEELLPP!!

A pic would be very helpful here.

What happened to the old nuts, (rings), from the fitting, where did you get the 3/4 nuts from?

I think you may have tried to fit nuts from a 15mm fitting and nuts from a 22mm fitting and both are wrong?
